Do you play guitar but want to play with a drummer and bass player? This is the next best thing to live band mates. The drums and bass sound good through an amp or PA system. There are lots of background beats to play with including basic 12 bar blues and you can just repeat a section of the beat to play along with a single beat. You can adjust the beat tempo faster or slower. I haven't gotten into designing custom songs yet but it appears pretty straight forward if you read the directions. Your DR-3 mates never make a mistake and don't argue with you either. For learning to keep time it is invaluable and so much more fun than a Metronome.
