5Evans reverse poser dot heads make your snare come alive.  Jan 20, 2011 By Scott Belcher Taylor "Drumn4life"
After trying all the different snare drum heads on the market
I find nothing compares to the Evans reverse power dot heads for snare drums. I will use nothing else. These heads make my snare drum sound amazing.
Greatest back beat sound I have heard. People are always commenting on how good my snare drum sounds but it's not just the drum (which is a great drum)it's also the reverse power dot head.
Even cheap beginner sets come alive and sing w/ Evans heads.
I am a believer and I am not the only one.
Every pro drummer I know uses Evans and swears by them.
They are simply the best.

5Nice CRISP response. Has that beautiful sought after 'CRACK' sound!  Jun 17, 2009 By Sound Man
I've used this head on my Ludwig Acrolite 14" Snare for about 5 years now with exceptional results. The REVERSE POWER dot is on the underside of the head allowing for intricate brush work. Don't be afraid to crank it down to get that "CRACK" sound! Very, very durable head. If you're looking for a more sensitive feel then look elsewhere. This head is very versatile (from gospel, jazz, country, rock etc...). I'm a heavy hitter. This head performs well under extreme tension. Pick up an Evans 300 Hazy and you're set!

5One of the best  Dec 28, 2009 By Hairy Alaskan
I first bought one of these heads about 3 years ago when our local shop was out of the Remo Controlled Sound heads. This head and the Hazy 300 caused me to eventually switch all my heads over to Evans. Evans products are top notch and I have been thoroughly impressed with all the various heads I have used from them over the last couple of years.
I find that the Evans coating lasts much longer than the Remo coating and their heads seem to stay in tune longer for me. I also find that their snare heads seem to retain a little more give/bounce in them over the Remo heads which to me feel a little more rigid/plastic like.
The Power Center head has been my main snare head for most of my snare drums. It makes my 70's Acrolite sound amazing and is working well in a Peal Master Works snare I recently purchased. I'm still using a few Remo Ambassador and Emperor heads on a couple other snares but I'm eventually going to try the Evans equivalent and see if there is any noticeable difference.
I highly recommend this or any Evans head. Try them out and see for yourself.

4Good snare head, prefer the HD.  May 01, 2012 By T. Husted
I have a Slingerland 5.5x14 copper snare that I've used Evans HD heads on for years, 300 hazy on the bottom. Super durable and love the dry crack, warmth, and sensitivity this head provides. They were out at my local drum store when I needed to replace it last time so I decided to try the power center. First and foremost, this head gives MUCH more projection than the HD. Easily 5-10 db. My brother noticed it immediately when we played live next time. Great for that and would definitely recommend it. However due the center having the split X in the middle on the underside, the resonance has increased tremendously, giving that hollow sound. Had to dampen it with a piece of ductape on the underside. Tuning is still easy as with all Evans heads and has held up well over the last month. I will be going back to the HD due the shortened sustain and increased warmth it provides my snare. However, if I needed the increased volume, I would definitely use this!
