 Great for Hauling stands! Jan 05, 2010

Very good heavy duty bag. Broke this out at practice for the first time and on tear down, all 4 of the cymbal stands went in with out collapsing them! It also had room for the snare stand with the legs left "out". The bag with the stands "out" fitted in the back of a toyota camry. So space isn't an issue. the handles are thick so those don't cut into your hands from the weight of the stands. Zippered compartment is handy to hold the high hat cymbal mounting stuff, plus the metal ring and felt that goes under the bottom high hat. Great for gigging as it'll be a snap on tear down/load out since the stands can go in uncollapsed! Nice "felt" interior inside the bag.

Great bag for the money May 27, 2011

Originally got the shorter version of this bag, and although it was fine I had to collapse most of my stands for them to fit, which is a pain since I've got memory locks set where I want them on a lot of them. Thanks to Amazon the return process was easy and I got this bag instead, which is exactly the same except longer. Now all my stands fit (including my hihat stand) without having to do much at all, which is a big timesaver. I'll also say the bag seems very well constructed (zippers are pretty thick and nylon exterior is also pretty thick and tough), and I expect it will hold up well as long as it's not abused or ridiculously overpacked. The padding is a little on the thin side, but hey, it's carrying hardware so who really cares? If I was on tour buses or other people were handling my gear I'd probably opt for something a little more substantial, but for my needs it's more than fine.
Everything else I looked at was either substantially more expensive or looked more flimsy for the price, and this bag was the perfect compromise between quality, function, and price. I'd buy it again (hope I won't have to though) and plan on picking up some Gator drum cases as well in the near future.

Nice long bag for drum rack components or even your stands if you leave them up. The larger bag (13xs50) has no zippered compartment for, I guess, a throne. I can only assume that the smaller bag has this compartment. So the picture here (as of this date) is the smaller bag or at least not the bag I got.

I really like the bag. But the first time I used it the zipper tore a little right in the middle. The bag works great though for stands. You can put them in without breaking them down, because of how long it is. Disappointed about the zipper but didn't want to have to take the time to ship it back, and wait for a new one. Hopefully it won't get worse.

This is my 2nd Gator hardware bag. I got the second bag so I could split my hardware into 2 easier to handle loads. The bags are well made for the price. Great for weekend gigs
